The challenge
Move from localised security to a global, unified system
Previously, Danfoss’s business units handled security at a local level. As part of its new ‘one company, one way’ strategy, Danfoss had created a central department to take care of its physical security and access control around the world. The next step was to establish one unified security system on a global scale that would give employees hassle-free access, whichever Danfoss site they visited.
What they did
Experienced guidance & support at every point
Danfoss used our Enterprise Programme to establish a global security policy and tooling. We helped them set up a governance structure, create a central server and testing environment and draw up clear specifications and security measures. We then helped Danfoss to begin implementing AEOS, our access control platform, at its sites around the world.
“The fact Nedap offers a tested, standardised approach for global implementation of physical security was one of the main reasons we selected it as our partner of security measures across the world. We wanted efficiency and that’s what Nedap’s Enterprise Programme brought us.”

Key benefits
Increased efficiency & effectiveness
- Significant increases in efficiency of security implementation and operation.
- Staff can move from site to site easily while security remains high.
- Security is standardised globally, local compliant and scalable.
- A central, in-house support desk gives expert global support 24/7.
- Experienced guidance from Nedap on selecting installation partners.
- Existing hardware was used with new AEOS software.
“By standardising security measures globally we found ourselves in a new field, so we were looking for a partner that could consult us throughout the implementation. Nedap can advise us anywhere in the world and easily assign an installation partner to enrol AEOS. And, while Nedap works through installation partners, they still take full responsibility of what’s delivered.”
